I use oxyclean as well as bleach in every load of whites. Check your washer the orange stain may be coming from something that has rusted. If it has rusted you will have to replace the part or use some kind of epoxy sealer on it. White vinegar and Iron out will both work. To prevent any build up on you valve and to clean the seals on your washing machine, run half a can of TANG through the system twice a year. Use the other half in the dishwasher to clean it up!
Do you have a well? Sounds like hard water marks to me.


Buy a water softener. Your clothes and your skin will love it.

Sounds like you're either on a well or you have old rusted pipes and hard water.


I would suggest a filter... whole house filter...
a detergent additive called IRON OUT
Buy Iron out and add to your clothes wash, follow directions on package, very good product.
sounds like you have some iron in you water, or a rusted part on your machine....but you could try 1/4-1/2 cup of baking soda in the wash with your detergent.
