Can I use to washing machine to clean a jumpber described as hand wash only?

Sounds like a stupid question, but I hate handwashing! Would it be ok to use a lower temp maybe. The top is 100% viscose, if that helpsCan I use to washing machine to clean a jumpber described as hand wash only?
Most washing machines now have a handwash cycle, if yours doesn't put it on a low temperature on the delicate or wool cycle. It will be fine, re-shape it once its washed, hang it on a hanger and leave to dry in the bathroom. Can I use to washing machine to clean a jumpber described as hand wash only?
yeah i wouldn't take the risk, but we always put hand wash stuff in the washing machine, and nothing drastic has happened yet, just use cool wash, and sometimes we put the clothes inside a fabric bag made of cotton or wool or something not quite sure, and tie and elastic bag round the top. But i wouldn't take the risk if it's ur fave jumper, although hand washing is a bit of a bore!!!
yes ,you got different cycles ,that is the way the cleaners do it,you didn't think they hand washed anything did you?to many clothes and not enough time they use every short cut they can find when it says hang to dry they will do that, cause it is so hot in there, almost at the end of the day it will be dry unless it's something real heavy ,then they give them a few days on it.
If it says to handwash it, then you must follow directions. I machine washed a blouse once %26amp; it shrunk so badly, that a two year old could have worn it. It was a Jacqueline Smith blouse %26amp; wasn't cheap. An expensive lesson, well learned.
i do i own a henri lloyd hoodie which is hand wash only just put it on a cold wash . afterwards take it out and lay it flat until its semi dry then put on a hanger . that way it will not lose its shape
I would hand wash it with Woolite, then hang dry.

You can also get the dry cleaning products, it works in the dryer.
In my house, most things that claim to be hand-wash only, get bunged in the machine! I usually just put them on at a low temperature, short wash... like a wool wash setting.

So far we've not had any tragedies!

xx
It is not a stupid question of course you can but put it on 20f wash not to hot or it will shrink and give it a gentle wring out
The machine will agitate it and this could damage the fibers , if you must put it alone on a gentle low temp cycle
Follow the instruction or risk damaging the garment.
some washing machines have a hand wash programme but if the garment has viscose in it I wouldnt.
i wouldn;t try it, as if it says hand wash it will probably shrink if you put it in machine.
No it will shrink.
Nope - go by the label!
it's my experience that you can wash viscose with 30掳 in the washing machine. Best would be the program for wool.
