Does a laundry machine (or washing machine) wash the detergent from the clothes thoroughly?

Does that apply to all washers/ laundry machines or just the new ones? We have a pretty old oneDoes a laundry machine (or washing machine) wash the detergent from the clothes thoroughly?
This will really depend on as to how much detergent you add when you wash your clothes and if you have hard or soft water. If you add to much detergents to the washer then the answer would have to be No. The machine will not wash the detergent thoroughly from your clothes. As long as you follow the directions on the detergents that you use you should be all right. If you have soft water you may want to use less detergent then recommended where as if you have hard water you may want to add a little more. But to answer your question it is really going to depend on who is doing the laundry and how much detergent the person uses and if you have hard/soft water. Most detergent are scented. If you do not want your laundry to have a smell to them, then purchase laundry soap that is unscented. Hope this helps:)Does a laundry machine (or washing machine) wash the detergent from the clothes thoroughly?
As other posters suggested try to NOT overload the washer OR use too much detergent.... If you are unsure run the rinse/spin cycle a second time to be sure that there's no more soap residue on your clothing... For me personally since laundry detergent is more expensive now that it's concentrated I use 1/2 the recommended amount and to that I add 1 cup of baking soda to my washloads... My clothing is cleaner and smells fresh and I use WAY less detergent...
it might not. that's why some detergents irritate some people's skin and you have to use special soap for babies. i'm sure an old one really wouldn't at all so what you could do it repeat the rinse/ spin cycle. hope that helps.
It depends on how much detergent is used. People generally tend to use WAY too much soap than what is actually necessary. Adding white vinegar to the final rinse will help remove more soap - AND help clean your machine at the same time.
That depends on how much detergent you put in. It doesn't take a half box though. It's important not to overload so the clothes can wash as they are supposed to.My daughter just doesn't get it.
if you do everything right then it should. I fond the older ones work a bit better anyway!
check the final rince cycle and see if you still have soap in the water. if so then you are using too much soap
i dont think so,they smell like soap dont they?

use organic detergent that way you dont have to worry about it.
Yes they do
