How do you wash jeans / ties in the washing machine?

With jeans, I know you wash them together, but on what wash cycle? Delicates?


Also ties, I know you're supposed to take them to the dry cleaners, but that never gets them clean. Can't we wash them at home without buggering them up?!How do you wash jeans / ties in the washing machine?
Jeans are heavy cotton, so they don't need to go in the delicate cycle.





Ties are another matter though. If they are dry clean only (look on the tag), you can buy a home dry cleaning kit (Dryel is one product) at your local grocery store. If they are stained, you need to address that separately and before you do this.How do you wash jeans / ties in the washing machine?
Jeans can be washed on a normal cycle with warm water wash/cold water rinse. Ties are another matter. Many are made of silk or rayon and will shrink if they are washed in your washer at home. If a tie is hopeless, though, there's no loss if you try it and it shrinks; I'd only wash them on cold, however, if I expected to have any hope of not shrinking them. If you do wash them at home, don't dry them in your dryer - then they WILL shrink! Take them out and let them air dry. If they're already ruined by stains, you have nothing to lose, so give it a shot.
What on earth are your ties so dirty for? Take them to a better Dry Cleaner.
jeans are best washed on a warm setting turned inside-out. Ties put inside a pillowcase so that they don't tangle
When I was younger, and had to clean our own garments. We had to tack around the outside of the tie, all the way around mind, and then you can wash them by hand, so you can give them a good clean. Then remove the tacking after , they are dried naturally. As for Jeans I treat as a normal garments but turn them inside out first and wash on No, 5 cycle.
Jeans are tough and can be washed with colored tees as well. They can be washed in hot with color safe bleach, though WARM setting is the best. Cold rise is fine.





If your jeans are delicate, then you have tons of other problems and pay too much for your jeans.





As for hand-washing ties, you can, but you have to be a bit careful. Woolite is a good gentle soap. With a gentle cleaning, you can get the dirt and stains out. Then you would hang dry and press it gently with an iron on a low heat. If that haeat doesn't press the tie, use a slightly higher heat until it does.
Not sure about ties but I always turn my jeans inside out and wash them on the wool cycle.
Just look at the label ,that tell how to wash'em.
Jeans you wash on a cotton cycle 40 - 50 degrees.


Ties can be done on a delicate,cool wash with a short spin.Place them in an old pillowcase first,to stop them getting caught in the rubber door seal.
